Weekly Classes — Winter/Spring 2008

Acrylics — Get it Right from the Start

Kerry Didday

Monday, 9:30am to noon

Levels 1-5

Course code 917

Expand your experience as a painter and become a better artist! Every two weeks you will receive a directed lesson that provides you with the opportunity to express your creativity to its fullest. You will find that the projects are easy and fun to do, leading you to some very exciting paintings. Through these projects you will completely explore the world of acrylics and its endless possibilities. You will learn about substrates, gels, compatible mediums, color theory, composition and different techniques. Normally we will work on full sheets of watercolor paper or stretched canvas.

Each week there will be an ongoing full class critique of the paintings as they progress. Be prepared to have an open mind and look forward to discovery through experimentation. If you truly want to become a better artist, I encourage you to sign up for the entire series, September through December. This way you will achieve the full impact of the class. Class meets four times per month.
