Introduction to Photoshop

See just how easy it is to greatly improve your photographs using the latest version of Adobe Photoshop. Gain a solid understanding of Photoshop's tools and use them to create a variety of images and effects. In-class projects include combining images, creating type effects, applying artistic filters, and image retouching. This class is hands-on and techniques you can start using right away are taught in an easy, down-to-earth style. This class is designed for both Windows and Macintosh users. Previous computer experience is recommended.

The mysteries of DPI,PPI, mega pixels, and different camera features will be explained. You'll learn how to compose your images and determine the best lighting conditions. Get to know some of the tips and tricks that the pros use to get the best shots. You'll also get instruction in Adobe Photoshop to correct, retouch, print, and e-mail your images. This class is hands-on and teaches techniques you can start using right away in an easy, down-to-earth style by the only Adobe Certified Expert Instructor in the area. This class is designed for both Windows and Macintosh users. Previous computer experience is recommended.

Introduction to Web Design

Learn both artistic and technical aspects of creating a website from scratch. Topics covered include file format, color theory, and visual literacy for web. Students are encouraged to create and develop their own website with skills learned during the course. Some online research is given as a homework assignment for better assimilation of the topics. Dreamweaver is the software used, but there will be some exposure to HTML. A basic understanding of Photoshop is recommended to take this class.
