Introduction to Photoshop

See just how easy it is to greatly improve your photographs using the latest version of Adobe Photoshop. Gain a solid understanding of Photoshop's tools and use them to create a variety of images and effects. In-class projects include combining images, creating type effects, applying artistic filters, and image retouching. This class is hands-on and teaches techniques you can start using right away in an easy, down-to-earth style. Applicable for both Windows and Macintosh users. Previous computer experience is recommended.

Learn how to create professional-looking composites, beautiful special effects, add color to black and white images. Learn how to create artwork using digital natural media tools. This class is hands-on and teaches techniques you can start using right away in an easy, down-to-earth style. This class is designed for both Windows and Macintosh users. Previous Photoshop experience is required.

Introduction to Digital Photography

Learn the basics of digital photography, from choosing the right camera and printer to making prints and sharing your images on the web. The mysteries of dpi, ppi, mega pixels, and different camera features will be explained. You'll learn how to compose your images and determine the best lighting conditions. Get to know some of the tips and tricks that the pros use to get the best shots. You'll also get instruction in Adobe Photoshop to correct, retouch, print, and e-mail your images. This class is hands-on and teaches techniques you can start using right away in an easy, down-to-earth style by one of the only Adobe Certified Expert Instructors in the area. This class is designed for both Windows and Macintosh users. Previous computer experience is recommended.

Introduction to Photoshop and Elements

Get started right with Photoshop basics! Learn to customize the workspace, arrange the pallet and menus and use the ruler, grids and guides. This course will help you understand the different tools and take advantage of the toolbox shortcuts. You will also be introduced to blending modes and opacity, using masks on the layers and creating layer groups.

Introduction to InDesign

Learn the specifics of how to design print pieces, such as business cards, letterhead, magazine page layouts, newspaper page layouts, flyers and more. You will be introduced to the different aspects of InDesign: shadows, transparencies, typesetting, CMYK, file formats for commercial printing, prepress. Strong emphasis will be given to design in the creation of your pieces and pertinent design principles will be explained. You will also learn how InDesign relates to other Adobe programs like Photoshop and Illustrator.
