Tropical Silk Painting for Beginners

Create a wonderful treasure in silk! Bring your simple drawing to transfer or sketch onto your piece. You will learn techniques to stretch silk and properly outline the color. Discover remarkable vivid colors as they spring to life on the silk. Each piece will be finished and applied to foam core for instant display. Each piece is 16x20. Walk away with a wonderful treasure in silk.

This weaving workshop gives students an introduction to the art of card weaving. Using cards as their looms, students learn to read a weaving draft, warp their looms and weave beautiful cotton fiber. Come and join us and have fun learning this ancient weaving technique.
