- Flush or semi-flush cutters
- * Half round forming pliers
- * Parallel pliers

- Scribe (sewing needle in pin vise)
- Ring clamp
- Center punch
- Small drill bits (at least 60 & 65)
- * Flex shaft tools that you like to use:
I use screw mandrels like Rio 333 105, rubber wheels 332761/10, pumice wheels 332 721, polishing brushes 338 503, stiched buff 330 701 - * 3" Stiched buff such as Rio 330 055 or 330 302
- * 3" unstiched muslin buff such as 330 371 These are optional for use on the polishing machines. If you have your own buffs and keep them in separate plastic bags you never have to worry about what is on the buff.
- Wet/Dry sand paper 320, 400 & 600 grits
- Safety glasses
- *Magnification - optivisors and the like Rubber cement and tracing paper
- !!!Silver solder - hard medium and easy-1450, 1390 & 1325 degrees (plus containers to store them)
- Pointed tweezers
- Solder pick (coat hanger fine)
- * Fiber grip tweezers
- * Solderite soldering pad (you'll always have a clean flat surface)
- It's also a good idea sto have copper, brass or nickel sheet for practice and mock-ups. Non-ferrous base metal wire is also useful.
- Materials:
- You will need to provide your own materials which will vary in cost, depending on what you would like to make. I am happy to consult with you regarding what to purchase.
* Some of the tools above have Rio Grande product numbers beside them. This is for reference only (most students have catalogs). You do not have to buy from Rio (just look at their pictures for reference).
