Broken Dish Mosaics
S1: Saturday & Sunday, June 21 & 22, 10am to 4pm
Levels 1-5
Course code 575
Pique-Assiette is a popular folk art style in which bits of broken china, glass, ceramic tile, pottery, porcelain and found objects are used to make one-of-a-kind creations. In this two-day workshop, students learn the basics of mosaic: setting-up your project, backing materials, tools, grouts, history, etc. All materials will be provided, but if you wish to do something special with your own broken pieces, bring them along. Come have fun and don't forget your lunch box!
