Tuesday Evening: The Art of Pastels

This class will introduce you to pastels and will perfect your abilities with this medium. You will learn about various methods of application, techniques, values, vivid colors and an array of materials and painting surfaces. We will paint a variety of subjects including still life, landscape, and portraiture. Develop the steps from a charcoal drawing to a finished pastel painting. With these fundamentals you will be able to explore your own style and subject matter. Some drawing and/or painting experience is recommended.
