The artists in this exhibition use traditional crafts to create two and three dimensional works of art that stretch boundaries with exciting results. By changing scale, subject matter, intent, and location, the artists in this exhibition catapult women's handicrafts from the home front to the art world. Tamar Stone creates unique books by embroidering women's stories onto corsets and bed linen, Agata Olek Oleksiak crochets interactive site-specific installations and Jenny Hart embroiders kitschy portraits of Americana.
