Coming Into Focus: Nancy Cervenka
Mainsail Best of Show Award winner (2001 and 2003), Cervenka's unique spiraled film vessels have given way to a series of airy, suspended sculptures and video installations. Employing an organic blend of light and shadows, Cervenka weaves her abstract imagery into a dialogue between sculptor and vessel. Join us July 9th for a rare screening of Cervenka's 16 mm films.
Where Two Roads Meet: Peter Schreyer & Rick Lang
Schreyer and Lang, Executive Director and Dir. of Photography, respectively, at Winter Park's acclaimed Crealde School of Art, establish more than a photographic record of lost Florida. They reclaim the heritage of Florida's small towns and the people who live there with insight and an empathy for their subject that imbues their often humble images with dignity and majesty.

Savid's work is steeped in his monastic spiritual teachings honed years ago as a young idealist living in a grass hut in the Philippines. This rich inner life has led to a career creating emotional images that need no words, the darkroom bringing to light the deeply buried emotions of his subjects.
