Kyu Yamamoto

studied under Dr. Kozo Shibata in his native Japan. While in Nashville, Tennessee, he served as Assistant Sculptor for the completion of the Nashville Parthenon's 42 foot Athena Parthenos, the world's tallest indoor sculpture outside Japan. Kyu relocated to Florida in 1992 and now operates a studio in St. Petersburg. Kyu will be a guest instructor at the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina in August 2008.
