Fall 2006 Photo Talks at the Arts Center

St. Petersburg, Florida, July 10, 2006- A series of three discussions with photographers Tim Kennedy, Carlton Ward, and Randy Van Duinen will begin in September. Each photographer will speak about his work and experience as follows:

September 9, 2006, 10:30am

Tim Kennedy

an image by tim kennedyTim Kennedy will show his black and white photographs and discuss his new book Midnight Son: A Tribute to John Lee Hooker. His photos capture the close connection between performer and audience from an intimate time now past.

Carlton Ward

an image by carlton wardCarlton Ward Jr. is an environmental photojournalist from Clearwater, Florida, with graduate training in ecology and anthropology. Through his photographs, he aims to promote conservation of natural environments and cultural legacies. At home and abroad, Carlton seeks stories where he can use photographs to make a difference.
